Who I am

I am of South Indian origin. However I have grown up in the UK most of my life and so English is my first language. I have experienced much confusion in my life because of the apparent conflict between the values of my heritage and those which I have grown up with in British society. Due to my personal challenges, I take a careful and considered approach in understanding your cultural frame of reference and work respectfully with it.

I am experienced in working with:

Anxiety Depression Panic attacks
Post traumatic stress syndrome Stress (general, work and family) Eating disorders and weight management
Sexual identity conflict Relationship issues Low self esteem
Cultural identity issues   Addiction drugs and alcohol

My qualifications and accreditations

I work mainly within the humanistic school of transactional analysis (TA) and am a fully certified Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist (CTA).

I hold an MSc and Diploma in TA and have been seeing patients since 1998. I also hold a BSc with honours in Cognitive Science and am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and the UK Association for Transactional Analysis. In addition to my private practice, I work externally at both The Priory Psychiatric Hospital and for an NHS IAPT service to deliver group and individual sessions
